The first name, which comes to mind when we talk about the trend in footwears, is Booties- fancy, retro, trendy, and sleek. Booties with bows, peep-toes, ruffled ones or with straps are too much in fashion.

Knee high, over knee or thigh high boots in leather or suede gives a chic look if paired with short dresses, minis, skinny jeans or tights.

To relieve us from towering heels, the thongs slip on’s and sandals in bright colors with beads and jewels would be an “in” thing this spring and summer.

Colors and Fashion - Fall Winter 2009

Fashion is all about yourself. What you choose to wear every morning tells a lot about you and how you felt that day. Colors are the symbol of fashion. What to wear is sometimes not important but what color you wear gives it more importance. Is it in or out is always the question in mind. Since the recession affected our lives strongly the majority of designers reduced the number of items in their collections, made them simpler to offer the customers what they can afford to buy. Hence, the color palette got affected by bringing it to darker side.

If it comes to choosing one color of dress to give your wardrobe a lift, make it PURPLE. Purple in all of its incarnations is one of the hottest colors for winter 2009. Don't think you can't wear it. There's a purple for almost everyone in shades ranging from eggplant, plum, to softer shades of lavender.







BLUE the aristocratic color never seems to leave the top color charts completely, no matter what color family is IN. Perhaps that’s because everyone loves blue. Many people believe that blue radiates a special kind of light to everyone and that makes it more favourite. Sometimes feeling blue feels good :) so stay with it for a while, you can add up a turquoise to cheer things a bit :)




Metallic BLACK and GREY becomes trendy this season.
Brown is a neutral color that is always used in clothes no matter whether designers call it trendy or not because it can be matched with lots of other tints. Burgundy being nobler than Red becomes more sassy and catchy.

Handbag is a style statement. I am a complete handbag freak, too much handbag-addicted, Can’t wait till I have the money to buy all the LV’s and balenciagas that I want :)
The past few years, however, fashion hasn't been too kind to the big bag, fancying instead little snakeskin clutches and fancy baguettes. So I am thrilled with the latest movement to oversized bags; now I can actually get back to carrying around all the stuff I really need.
With the infinite shapes, colors, patterns available in handbags now, matching your purse to your clothing becomes an exciting challenge. I love reading articles on handbag how to's; which has helped giving me certain ideas to consider while matching accessories with your clothes and look like you stepped out of a trendy magazine.

1. Consider your clothes before you choose a purse. Think about whether your outfit is trendy, traditional or casual and whether it is solid-patterned. It becomes equally important to know where you are going and what is the purpose.

2. Choose a color first. If your outfit is light and neutral colored, a bright or vibrant handbag can add a punch of color. If your wardrobe choice involves vivid colors, a basic brown or black bag can tone it down a bit. Matching is unnecessary. Just make sure all the colors complement one another.

3. Select a purse that's proportional to your outfit and body size. A giant handbag, while stylish, might look out of place. Big bags have been increasingly in style for the past couple of years. Designer oversized bags are often seen on the shoulders of celebrities as they appear in the pages Fashion magazines. It’s only natural that this is a look we want to emulate. But is it worth it? Most importantly, big bags let you carry ALL of your stuff wherever you go. Party, Journey, Lecture Whatever! They are so versatile. You can tote your makeup, baby's articles, iPod, Blackberry, wallet, camera, magazine, goggles ALL of it, anywhere, in style!

But to be honest we really love them because an oversized handbag make most girls look skinnier and make our appearance more dainty.

4. Look at length. If you like shoulder bags, choose one that hits at a flattering place on your body, because handbags add bulk to your frame. If your hips are large, your purse should stop at your waist to draw the eye upward. If you have a thick waist, pick a purse with a longer strap.

Choosing the right handbag is as important as what you are wearing. It really is a Style Diva as it defines your personality. Embroidered, sequinned ethnic bags go very well with plain dresses or sarees.

Fashion does not have to be expensive but it should be able to reflect your personality.

Fahion is vast and can be complicated, but it's not impossible to figure out. With a bit of trial and error, you can easily find a look that not only suits you but flatters as well.
Retro's back in time, it gives a vibrant look. To get that perfect retro look, dig into your mum's or for that matter even your grand mum's closet. You can really make a style statement with that.
Look out for tie-dyed shirts, poodle skirts, bell bottom jeans, funky jackets, leather bags, huge glasses. Be bright, colorful and quirky!

Fashion is made to become unfashionable

The fashion keeps changing every day. The style and fashion we adopt on one day is outdated on the very next day. Life should not be stagnant so is fashion also. People are so fashion conscious and it is taking a great leap with the passage of time. The whole scenario and the world of fashion is putting forward innovative things and forms everyday. I heard once the question by ace designer Yuvraj Sidharth Nagpal:
"Fashion is all about making a personal style statement, but how important is it to follow trends?"
I think it is not important to be a very fashionable person. But one should move with the time. Fashion makes our life colorful and changes our life with the time or according to the time. It makes us feel good whenever we follow fashion and trends. Fashion changed from time to time but it has shown its existence in all ages. Not only young people do fashion, children, old people also do it. Everybody can do it. But yes! for all age groups fashion is different.
